But here’s a car.
So I haven’t been feeling 100% the past few days. So I googled my symptoms: Shortness of breath, sweating, and flatulence.
It turns out I’m fat.

From one Steve to another - it only gets worse.

I think I caught it from you.

Yeah, speaking of which, fuck the fat-shamers. They have no idea how hard it is to burn fat. It’s like a smoker quitting cigarettes. You can’t just say “Just stop eating too much food.” It doesn’t work that way.

You’re in shape. It’s a round shape but it’s still a shape.

Well, yes it is. But it happens to be a choice I've made (the food part).

To quote a very inspirational man.
“JUST DO IT! Don’t let your dreams be dreams....”
So yeah, be like nike, start shooting hoops, and within a decade you'll be like mike!

I used to work with a guy who would sometimes call and say he was taking a “fat day”.

must be in the water (or Dr. Pepper, or food), because I got it too!

I quit smoking four years ago and it was ridiculously hard. But I’m glad for it now.

It kinda does, though.
Source: Stopped eating too much food, stopped being fat. Get an app like MyFitnessPal or Weight Watchers to keep track of everything (and I mean EVERYTHING. The little shit adds up quick) and you’ll be amazed at the weight you can lose.

It’s a god damn epidemic! Start hording the tasty cakes and twinkies! The end is nigh!

I’m eating these triple chocolate m&m cookies as quickly as possible!

Trust me, its an addiction. It’s no more easier to break an overeating addiction than it is to quit smoking. It has the same psychological effects.

OH MY GOD THOSE SOUND DELICIOUS! GIVE THEM TO ME!

Except you can counteract overeating with exercise. No one ever said this stuff was easy. Quitting anything poses challenges.

Yes, I’m well aware. That doesn’t mean you can’t do something about it though.

I’m trying as hard as I can.

Are you using a calorie/food tracker? Get one if not. Find healthy snacks and stock those instead of unhealthy ones. Never eat right out of the bag. Let yourself cheat sometimes (I usually give myself a free pass on holidays), but feel guilty about it afterwards. If you do screw up a meal, don’t just give up on the day.
I went from 300lbs at 6’5” to 235 in 7 months still eating burritos and burgers for dinner just by eating less shit in between meals and eating small, healthy lunches to balance out.

Oh crap, I think I have it too.
Actually, this is the first week of making a halfway serious attempt to do something about it. I’ve quit drinking alcohol, quit smoking cigars, and also stopped drinking soda. My partner has dropped close to 30 pounds over the last 3 months, and I am competitive.

You take one more step and I will cut you.

I have both quit smoking and, later, lost 50lbs (which appeared on my body as a result of the first thing).
Honestly, it was easier to lose weight than to quit smoking by far. You can’t just give up eating, no, but you do still get to eat.
